20 x 16 × 1.5 in.
Acrylic and mixed media on canvas
Layered mixed media techniques, including acrylics, inks, graphite, and hand-textured surfaces, create compositions that feel both grounded and ephemeral. Proportion and flow emerge through sweeping gestures and intricate detailing, giving form to the intangible.
Subtle metallics and powdered pigments shimmer across the surface, evoking the fragility of a butterfly’s wing and the iridescence of shifting perception. Textures, translucent veils, and embedded lines build depth and suggest hidden structures within the unconscious.
A palette of sky blues, earthen tones, and cloud whites is punctuated by vibrant contrasts that reflect the paradoxes of stillness and motion, sleep and awakening. Organic materials such as moss, plant fibers, grasses, and roots are often woven into layered surfaces, creating a visceral connection between the natural world and the inner landscape.
