There is a particular moment when nothing has happened yet, but something has begun to change. An expectation, a possibility, a subtle shift in how we see what lies ahead.
In this painting, the figure turns toward something beyond the canvas. Her raised arm and flowing fabric suggest movement, while the warm circle behind her holds the composition in a moment of suspension.
Just Before Happiness Arrives explores that curious interval between expectation and experience. Happiness has not yet entered the picture, but the possibility of it has already changed everything.
