In Magnetic Pole, Danuta Bennett creates a visual meditation on the unseen forces that shape and move us. At the center, a black circular void anchors the composition, dense, magnetic, and unknowable. Surrounding it are pale, radiant rings of light, each one etched with lines like compass marks or celestial coordinates. The space hums with tension, as if the canvas were caught between attraction and resistance.

From the dark center, a thread of matter spills downward like liquid iron or a fractured current, part vein and part thread of fate. This silent flow seems to emerge from the deepest core, suggesting both eruption and surrender. Above, softened grays and whites swirl in atmospheric layers, evoking polar storms, deep time, or the cold geometry of distant planets.
